Computer Classes are offered at many of our branches. We are dedicated to providing students with the skills they need to begin working with computers. For those already familiar with the basics of computing, we offer more advanced classes as well.

All classes are free and require registration. Please call or visit the host library to reserve your seat today!

Meet the Mouse:
This course is designed for those who are looking to get into the world of computers. We discuss the parts of the computer, how to use the keyboard and mouse, and how to work with programs, folders, and documents. If you're new to computers or just need a refresher, this is the course for you!


Navigating the Net:

This class is designed to introduce you to the World Wide Web. You'll learn about how the Internet works, how to connect, and how to open web pages and search for information. You'll be "surfing the Net" in no time!

Prerequisite: Meet the Mouse or basic computer skills.

All About the Internet:
This continuially changing series will feature ways that we can use the Internet to enhance our lives. We'll go far beyond the basics and investigate something new each and every class!

Prerequisite: Navigating the Net or equivalent skills.

Introduction to Microsoft Word:
Microsoft Word is the most popular word processing program on the market. This course will prepare you to use this program at work or at home. Learn how to create and manage documents, save and print them, and format your work so that it looks great!

Prerequisite: Meet the Mouse or basic computer skills.

Intermediate Microsoft Word:
This course builds upon the skills gained in the Introduction to Microsoft Word course. Topics include page and paragraph formatting, headers and footers, adding and editing pictures, and using editing tools.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Microsoft Word or equivalent skills.

Introduction to Email:
By the end of this course you will have your very own Google email (Gmail) account! You will learn how to send and receive emails, organize your mail, and attach files!

Prerequisite: Meet the Mouse and Navigating the Net or equivalent skills.
