Although no longer active, the Williamson Road Action Forum boundaries included Orange Avenue, I-581, Hershberger Road and Plantation Road. Williamson Road is much more than the main street that connects this neighborhood to the downtown city market. Williamson Road is a unique urban neighborhood that exemplifies the best of the town-within-a-town concept. A truly diverse, multicultural community, this neighborhood includes some of the best that Roanoke has to offer, whether it be a quiet stroll down a street lined with homes that are an obvious source of pride for their owners, a visit to a Columbian restaurant, a run in a local park, or perhaps simply a coffee with your neighbors. Few neighborhoods offer the housing value and diversity of experience that you'll find in the Williamson Road area.
