Free Smoke Detectors Available to Roanoke City Residents!
Roanoke Fire-EMS is pleased to announce that the department has received the Get Alarmed, Virginia Grant from the Virginia Dept. of Health & the U.S. Centers for Injury and Violence Prevention. By obtaining this grant, Roanoke Fire-EMS has been given 3,000 smoke detectors. The department also has free bathmats and smoke detectors while supplies last to help in the prevention of falls. This free smoke detector program is open to all City of Roanoke residents.
