H-2 Historic District Guidelines

Print
Share

The H-2 district is spread among four neighborhoods in Roanoke: Old Southwest, Patterson Avenue, Mountain View and Gainsboro, and they are comprised predominantly of residential structures. In the spring of 2009, the ARB and staff recommended that each neighborhood have its own individual set of H-2 Guidelines. While the general guidelines remain the same for each neighborhood, the sections pertaining to Working with the ARB, Architectural Styles and the Table of Contents are specific to each neighborhood.

To verify if your property is in the H-2 district, search Roanoke's Geographic Information System (GIS) web page.
