Roanoke Police Department
Operations Division
The Operations Division is under the direction of Deputy Chief B.S. Lugar. It consists of two main bureaus, the Patrol Bureau and the Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB). The Patrol Bureau consists of the following units:
- Animal Control
- DARE/SRO
- Hit and Run
- Mounted Patrol
- Parking Enforcement
- Uniform Support (which includes Crime Prevention, K-9, Power Shift, Street Crimes and Warrant Service)
The Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) consists of the following units:
- Vice/Organized Crime
- Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) (which includes the following squads: Juvenile Crimes, Major Crimes (which includes a Cold Case Investigator), Property Crimes (which includes Auto Theft Investigators), Criminal Intelligence and Technology and White Collar Crimes (which includes Computer Crimes investigators).
