While the threat of terrorism in this area is not as great as in more populated areas, this threat still exists in every community throughout the country. All areas of government are now placing emphasis on training for an incident of this type.
In Roanoke, training activities are being conducted for public safety personnel on how to respond appropriately to this type of incident. In addition, emergency procedures for bomb threats and other incidents are being reviewed and updated.
