Homes Completed by Lead Safe

Lead Safe Definition
It does not mean that the property or unit is lead free. There is a high likelihood that lead paint remains on the property. What it does mean is that, the lead paint is intact and not considered a hazard to children.

Roanoke City’s Lead Safe Housing Registry
The City of Roanoke’s Lead Safe Housing Registry provides information on housing units that have been made safe from lead-based paint hazards. Lead-based paint is primarily found on homes and apartments built before 1978. The older the building, the more likely it is to have lead-based paint.

The following units were determined to be lead-safe following their participation in the Roanoke lead Safe grant program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control.
