Downtown Plan 2017

The City of Roanoke hosted an Open House meeting to display the major themes and key ideas being proposed within the new Downtown Plan.  Utilizing surveys, public input, and information from stakeholders, the City has begun drafting the Downtown Plan and hopes to establish policies and goals that help add new life and maintain the vibrancy of Downtown Roanoke.

The City would like your input as you review the big ideas that are starting to take shape within the Downtown Plan.  The boards from the Public Meeting can be downloaded here, and can be seen in the adjacent graphic.

The City of Roanoke did some preliminary work on the Downtown Plan in 2014 and 2015 with several input meetings and a public survey. The results of this initial effort will be utilized as a foundation for the plan as new ideas are gathered over the next several months. The Downtown Plan will be drafted this Spring/Summer and finalized in Fall 2017.

Stay tuned for a save the date for the next public meeting to be held end of March or early April.
